TellStick Third-Party Applications
NexaHome is a free automation application made for TellStick. It of course has all the basic options you may need for scheduling your TellStick enabled gear.
The application includes several nice additional features. You can for example automate your TellStick electronics & lights based upon receiving information on the outside temperature. NexaHome can as well randomize the schedule of your electronics so that it wont be obvious to thieves that you are away on vacation.
By using the included web server you can automate your TellStick enabled gear from anywhere in the world via the internet and as well your mobile phone. The computer that has the TellStick obviously needs to be turned on and connected to the internet for this to work. If the computer with the TellStick is connected to the internet via a router then you just need to turn on Port-Forwarding or Open-Port on the router.
NexaHome is supported in Windows, Linux and Mac.
Make sure you have Java Runtime Environment on your computer. Configure your TellStick connected electronics using Telldus Center. Download NexaHome and put it in a library. Start NexaHome by clicking on the jar-file or open a command window in the installation library and enter the following command, java -jar NexaHome.jar. Save your changes via File> Save.
Thanks to Henrik Kjell for developing the application.
