FAQ – Telldus hub and products
Tellstick Flow
TellStick Flow is a bridge between our existing cloud service Telldus Live and light sources from our assortment range online.
TellStick Flow is for you who want to expand your connected home by integrating affordable lamps in your Telldus system. Best of all, you can control both lights and other devices from one app!
No, you do not need to have any of the existing TellSticks to use with the new TellStick Flow. However, if you already owned one or more of our current TellSticks, the TellStick Flow will work seamlessly with them.
You only need the Telldus Flow app to install and activate the TellStick Flow.
You do not need the Smartline Flow app. The Telldus Flow app is the only app you will need to use with both the Smartline Flow lights, plugs and sensors, as well as the TellStick Flow. If you already have a TellStick Net v2 / ZNet lite v1 or v2, your other 433MHz and Z-Wave devices will also be available on the Telldus Flow app.
Whether you are a Telldus user or not, you can use the hub to control your lights using voice control or via your phone. However, you need to be a Telldus user if you want to be able to integrate the lamps with other smart devices in the home.

It depends on the product. The easiest way is to follow the manual for each specific device. You always get the manual in the package, but you can also find it on the web and the product page, under the tab “manuals”.
For Z-Wave products, the limit is up to 232 devices. The 433MHz has no limit. Also note that you can have a maximum of 8 thermometers (made by Telldus) per TellStick. If you want more, you can buy thermometers from other brands that can be connected. If you have many different Z-Wave devices, the maximum number for how many 433MHz products you can have decreases.
Yes, you need a TellStick to be able to use all Telldus devices and functions, except the lamps from Smartline Flow which are completely independent and controlled via Bluetooth.
It depends on the product. The easiest way to do this is to follow the specific manual that comes with the package. If you do not find the manual, you can easily find it on our website under the tab “Manual” on the product page.
In the following links you will find two guides that show you how to generally add them with a manual for each device: 433MHz or Z-Wave.
It’s super easy. Follow the steps by using this guide!
Connect your TellStick with the included cables. Create an account at live.telldus.com. Once you have done this, you only need to activate your TellStick. You do this easily by following the guide which you will find here!
You can improve the range of your TellStick ZNet Light V1 / V2 by having several Z-Wave products, which together create a mesh network between the devices. All non-battery-powered Z-Wave devices can repeat the signal. The more you have the better range and reliability you get. It is also possible to buy an extender. For the 433MHz products, it is unfortunately not possible to extend the signal. If this creates a problem for you, we recommend that you use Z-Wave products with the associated TellStick.
The easiest way to do this is to follow the specific manual that comes in the package, or under the tab “manuals” on the product in our web shop. It usually differs slightly depending on the product, but in general it works as follows: Select the device you want to exclude in the app and then go to settings where you can choose to exclude the product.
Then click 3 times on the device to exclude it.

Telldus Live is our app and cloud service where you control and make all settings for your devices.
Start by checking your device history. Is your time zone set correctly? If not, you need to set this manually. This is because your automatic time zone is based on your ISP settings. If the settings are correct, you may also need to check that your position is correct. This is because it determines the times of the sun’s rising and setting in schedules and events. Read our guide on how to make the settings here!
