Telldus at IFA Berlin 2025 – reflections and trends in Home Tech
Share
This year's IFA Berlin was something truly special. The fair celebrated its 101st anniversary and this year's theme, “Innovation For All” , feels more relevant than ever. Over five intense days, the world's leading players in consumer electronics and smart homes gathered to showcase the latest trends. Telldus was of course there – two packed days that gave us inspiration, confirmation and new exciting collaborations.
Our highlights from IFA 2025
- 2 days, 20 meetings, 200 booth visits – and thousands of impressions.
- Telldus hub1 impressed greatly , especially thanks to our focus on Zigbee 3.0 – a clear consumer priority that was confirmed time and time again.
- New relationships were established , including with Czech start-up Airgeek, specializing in air quality. An area in which we see great potential and where we want to contribute with solutions.
- We received new energy and inspiration from both global players and existing partners – something that will lead to new services and products from Telldus as early as Q4 2025.
Trends in Home Tech
A recurring theme at this year's fair was human-centric technology – solutions that make everyday life easier, safer and more sustainable. We see four areas in particular growing rapidly:
-
Interoperability and standardization
Consumers want solutions that work together, not closed systems. Zigbee 3.0 and Matter were in focus, and Telldus is well positioned here.
-
Air quality and indoor environment
Home health is gaining more and more attention. Startups like Airgeek are showing that there is room for innovation, and we want to help fill this need.
-
Energy efficiency and smart control
There was a major focus on reducing energy consumption for each unit, but also on optimizing energy utilization based on needs, electricity costs and availability.
-
AI-powered features
Automation solutions are getting smarter. AI now helps users not only control their homes, but also anticipate needs before they arise.
Forward for Telldus
The fair gave us clear confirmation: we are on the right track. Our strategy – to focus on solutions that are usable, open and future-proof – is fully in line with market developments. We plan to present new services and products as early as Q4 2025.
We leave Berlin with energy, ideas and a strong conviction: the smart home of the future is about more than technology. It's about security, simplicity and improving people's everyday lives.
Be Safe, Informed and Inspired.
