FAQ – Smart lighting

Smart lighting – Smartline Flow

What makes the lamps unique is the simplicity and the fact that you do not need extra gadgets to make the lighting work. The lighting is controlled by Bluetooth and allows you to control the lights completely via your phone. You can of course continue to use your regular switch to turn the lamp on and off if you prefer.

Smartline Flow is an external concept for smart lighting, but which will be compatible with Telldus in the near future. The focus of the lamps is on making it feel easy to get a smart home, no matter how technically savvy you are. The light sources are completely controlled via Bluetooth and installed with two simple steps via the Smartline app. Choose whether you want to control the lights with your phone or using a remote control. You can also choose to turn on and off the lighting using the timer function.

This can depend on two reasons.

1. You have not added your light sources to the app. This means that the reception of the lamps is open and can be controlled by other users within range who also have the remote control.

2. The second reason may be that you have added a timer for the lamp. Go into the app and see what hours you have set and turn off those that are not needed.

First, make sure the power switch is on. It may seem obvious, but it’s a common thing to miss.

Do you have a cord for the plug? Check that it is properly inserted. If it still does not work, contact us via support@telldus.se.

Insert the lamp in the luminaire, download the Smartline app and then add the light source.

To reset the remote control, you need to hold down the reset button on the back of the control for about 4 seconds. The lamp on the front of the control should then flash twice. Press the reset button briefly. The diode should then start flashing slowly to show that it is in “pairing mode”. You therefore need to press the reset button twice. The first time for 4 seconds, the second time for 1 second.

As the lamps are not approved for outdoor use, we do not recommend this.

No, you don’t need an account to use the Smartline lightning.

The lamps from Smartline Flow are currently completely independent and are controlled via Bluetooth. However, they will soon be compatible with Telldus system, which means that you will then be able to control the lights via the Telldus app like all other products.

As for now, Smartline Flow is not compatible with other systems.
