What protocols does the TellStick work with?

Can I manage several different TellSticks on the same account?

Yes, you can! At live.telldus.com you can do this via “manage locations” where you can add more than one TellStick to the same account. If you are using your phone, you will find this under your user profile and “manage gateways”. If you are a premium user, there is also an option to manage multiple accounts via the app.

Can I improve the range of my TellStick?

You can improve the range of your TellStick ZNet Light V1 / V2 by having several Z-Wave products, which together create a mesh network between the devices. All non-battery-powered Z-Wave devices can repeat the signal. The more you have the better range and reliability you get. It is also possible to buy an extender. For the 433MHz products, it is unfortunately not possible to extend the signal. If this creates a problem for you, we recommend that you use Z-Wave products with the associated TellStick.

Do I need a TellStick to be able to use your products?

Yes, you need a TellStick to be able to use all Telldus devices and functions, except the lamps from Smartline Flow which are completely independent and controlled via Bluetooth.

How do I update the software on my TellStick?

No worries, it will be updated automatically.

I want to hand over my TellStick to another user. What should I do?

Log in to your account via live.telldus.com and click on “manage locations”. Select the TellStick you want to transfer. Click “change Settings” and then “Administration” and enter the new owner’s account (Telldus Live account must be created and verified). Finally, click on “upload”. Verification must then be done at the email address you provided in order to be transferred to the TellStick.

What should I do if my TellStick goes offline?

Start by checking what the light on your TellStick indicates by clicking here.

Proceed to the following steps: Restart your router. If this doesn’t work, try to restart your TellStick. If this doesn’t help, you should also try changing the network cable and changing the network port that the TellStick cable is in. If this doesn’t help, you should try connecting your TellStick to another router, such as a friend or neighbor, to rule out the problem. If the result is the same, you are more than welcome to contact us at support@telldus.se.

There is a flashing light on my TellStick, what does it mean?

Door/window sensor Bluetooth

The door and window sensor detects open and close by sensing the absence or the presence of a magnet. You can use it to tell if a door or window is open or closed then turns on or off a light, for example. You can also use the Telldus Flow app to create more complex scenarios such as notify your neighbours if the front door is open when you are not home.

Use it with a TellStick Flow, then you can check if your doors and windows were closed or open even when you are away from home.

Mini PIR Sensor Bluetooth

Motion control your lights with this discreet sensor. You can for example let your lamp light up automatically when you come home. The neat design makes it easy to place the sensor where you want it, without it being too visible.

This motion sensor includes a battery and wall mount. You can also place the sensor on a flat surface if desired. The sensor is controlled via Bluetooth and is compatible with TellStick Flow.
